What we collect
When you sign in with X (Twitter), we may receive your public profile information such as your handle (@username). Depending on your X app settings, we may also receive your email address. We only use this information to authenticate you and to associate your entry in the leaderboard with your account.
When you place a bid on an advertising spot, we collect and store:
- Your bid amount
- Your X/Twitter handle
- Your user ID (for account association)
- The advertising spot identifier
Important: Your bid amount and handle are displayed publicly on the website for all users to see. This is an inherent part of the auction system.
How we use your data
- Authenticate your session (via Supabase Auth).
- Associate your existing or new entry with your account.
- Display your public handle in the leaderboard.
- Display your expenses in the leaderboard and on your profile page.
- Process and display your bids in the advertising auction system.
- Publicly display your handle and bid amount on advertising spots (this is required for the auction system to function).
What we don't do
- No selling or renting of personal data.
- No unsolicited emails.
- No sharing with third parties, except providers strictly necessary to run the service (e.g. hosting, authentication).
Retention & deletion
You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time. We will remove your authentication record and unlink your leaderboard entry.
Bidding data: Due to the public nature of the auction system, bid amounts and associated handles may remain visible in historical records even after account deletion, as they are part of the public auction history. However, we will remove the association with your user ID.
Cookies
We use cookies only for essential session management and analytics (if enabled).
